‘Fall’ Into A Plan

Quick post today….I just wanted to mention a notion that helps attain goals in a major way…HAVE A PLAN!

If you don’t have a plan, you are ultimately ‘planning’ for something to go wrong, or at least stray from your goals.

Flying by the seat of your pants has a place, believe me; there are many situations where that technique works really well.  However, gaining energy, working toward fat loss, and gaining overall health are not goals that ‘just happen’ while flying by the seat of your pants.

I am a big fan of writing things down.  Whether it’s a shopping list, a packing list, or a list of goals, I firmly believe that having it in black and white helps you ‘see’ that you are trying to accomplish something.

Next time you have a new goal, try creating something many businesses use in order to achieve sales goals, as well as build the best business ever;

SMART Goals. Huh? Here’s a simple explanation:

goal setting

S– Specific( what is it exactly that you want o achieve; i.e “I want to fit into a size 6”  vs. “I want to lose weight”)

M- Measurable ( have a solid a way of measuring your progress)

A– Attainable ( pick something that is realistic and attainable)

R– Relevant (pick something that pertains to you and isn’t completely opposite of where you are currently)

T– Time-bound ( pick a date to have achieved the “S” and write it on the calendar, and make others aware of the deadline)

Having someone hold you accountable for these SMART goals is another fantastic way of seeing your dreams become a reality! That’s where I come in!
